children gathered around a table doing crafts

On October 21st, Martin Road Elementary hosted a family English Language Arts evening! Martin Road’s Parent Engagement Team and Parent Teacher Association were happy to bring this event back and welcome families back into the building this year! The National Elementary Honor Society worked a table where students and families decorated pumpkins.

There was a table where STEM activities took place by seeing who could build the tallest tower by using candy corn, marshmallows and toothpicks. Additional tables included staff and parent volunteers who offered fall-themed read aloud books and bookmark-making stations. Family nights are a wonderful way to spend a free evening out with your children and meet other parents and students in our community. If you missed our Fall ELA night, stay tuned for information coming out regarding our next family night, Winter Extravaganza, on December 17th.
