Lackawanna Community–
Due to construction from the Capital Improvement Project, the sidewalk in front of Lackawanna Middle School near the athletic fields is closed, and will remain closed through the rest of the school year. Please be aware that the sidewalk will be completely inaccessible. A crossing guard will be in place to redirect students to the opposite side of the street before and after school to ensure students are safe traveling through that area.
We ask that all students, families and visitors plan for a few extra minutes when arriving or leaving campus, as foot traffic will be redirected across the street from the construction zone. Clear signage will be posted to guide pedestrians safely along the alternate route.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we work to improve our campus. The upgrades being completed will benefit our students and community for years to come, and your support helps us maintain a safe environment throughout the process.
