There was a special energy at Martin Road Elementary School last night at our Art Show and Spring Concert. Our 5th grade students from Ms. Saleh and Ms. Verstreate's classrooms presented their biography research projects.
These young students stepped into the shoes of historical figures, sharing their lives, struggles, and triumphs with classmates, teachers, and proud parents. These presentations were not just about memorizing facts; they also helped our students gain confidence in public speaking.
Students researched historical and public figures such as LeBron James, Taylor Swift, Wayne Gretzky, Lucille Ball, and Helen Keller. Through researching, crafting, and presenting these biographies, students not only deepened their understanding of these historical and public figures but also developed essential life skills.
