Lodge, K.

Welcome to Miss Lodge's Martin Road Elementary Counseling Page!

I have been the Martin Road Elementary School Social Worker since 2017! I love working with MRE students and watching their social and emotional skills grow. During this time of great confusion, I hope this page provides you with some tools and techniques to keep your kiddos mentally and emotionally healthy!

Emotional Control and Regulation Graphics

Please take a moment to work through the images below. They are meant to help children identify their emotions. In order to do so, they must first figure out what caused the strong emotion to begin with (triggers). After that is identified, children can begin to control triggers (prevent them and/or identify coping skills if they can't be avoided). I have also uploaded some graphics meant to help both parents and students focus on what is important. Times are difficult and the last thing we want as parents and educators is to stress our children out more. I've included some images meant to help with de-escalation and overall mental well-being. These can be printed by right clicking and choosing "print image." Please email with questions!
