Martin Road Student Council promotes a themed activity for students to participate in each month. For October, students promoted and supported Red Ribbon Week, aimed at building knowledge around drug and alcohol misuse. In November, students invited Veterans into the building and shared cards of support and thanks. In December, students ran a Candy Gram drive promoting kindness and good cheer.

In January, Student Council organized a soup and hot cocoa drive to benefit the newly established Friendship Food Pantry located in Blasdell. Students collected over 500 items including various soups and types of hot cocoa. The winning grade level was treated to ice cream sandwiches during lunch sponsored by Student Council.

Members of the Friendship Food Pantry visited Martin Road Elementary to collect the donations and posed for a photo with the winning third grade and, coming in a close second, second grade Student Council representatives! Together, second and third grade made up over 400 donated items! Martin Road will continue to spread goodness throughout the year!
