Students in front of Women's History Month bulletin boardMs. Szymanski's fourth-grade class is designed around a Superhero theme. In keeping with that theme, and in honor of Women's History Month, Ms. Szymanski and her class designed a Captain Marvel bulletin board highlighting strong women throughout history.

For example, did you know Ada Lovelace is considered to be the first computer programmer? She was born in 1815 - long before the invention of the computer! Bessie Coleman was the first woman of African American and Native American heritage to have a pilot's license. She earned it in 1921 and had to go to Europe to learn to fly because she was not allowed to here in America. These are just two examples of the "Marvelous Women" that the students learned about!
